The Hotspot systems allows the Wi-Fi Internet access to public open facilities areas such as hotels, conference centers, libraries, ports, airports, motorway service stations etc.
The Wi-Fi system is composed of 2 elements:
- Access Gateway: main device, essential for managing customer authentication
- Satellite Access Point: Access Point used to extend coverage within the facility.

L 'Access Gateway is able to manage the AAA, to manage the billing and in accordance with regulations in place to send the accounting data to a server for logs storage.

Once the wireless coverage in the structure is available, the customer who wants to connect to Internet will launch their browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)..
The Hotspot users are automatically redirected to an http authentication interface (Web redirection) on which they must enter username and password.
In this way, the users will be invited to apply to the personnel of the structure, the TICKET access.

The staff of the structure, thanks to SICE Access Gateway, may create and print on the reception PC, standard or custom TICKET EX.:
- TICKET € 5.00 (2 h of navigation)
- TICKET € 20.00 (10 h of navigation)
- Customizable TICKET (ex.: daily,weekly flat or free access).

According to the regulations in place, the operator must keep a copy of the identity of the customer who match the TICKET provided, keeping all in an archive. (Decree Law of 27 July 2005 n.144).
Through this interface, the location will be able to view and see active accounts and the remaining traffic of its customers.
